No exceptions

With the earthquake, tsunami and a crippled nuclear plant continue to affect the nation of Japan. Two days ago marks 1 month since the disasters started. With Japan heading into summer, demand for electricity will no doubt rise, causing concerns for Tokyo Electric Power Company. Although all effort is made to ensure stable output in the coming season while effort is still focused on stabilizing the reactors and relieving the homeless and stranded. The nation, and the people are doing everything they can to help out, no matter how little it seems, after all, one makes all the difference.

What really moved me was what the Japanese idols decided to do to help out. Not only did they released new songs to encourage and give strength to the people by voice, they even stated in blogs and television shows ways  of life they are changing to help reduce electrical consumption - such as using the stairs instead of the lift or turning off unused electrical appliances. All these seem obvious and common sense, but how many of you out there are actually trying to save electricity? Do you leave your TV on standby instead of turning it off? Do you keep the power point switch on even though the appliances plugged in are not used? It is the little things like these that adds up and makes it count. I feel very inspired and encouraged by how considerate and understanding these idols, as well as the Japanese people are. I give my deep hearted wishes to Japan.

"We can do this, Japan!"
