Watarirouka
Hashiritai
渡り廊下走り隊
There is only ONE reason why Japan love the number 7...Watarirouka Hashiritai 7 !!
Yesterday I forced myself out of bed at 6:30am in the morning (not early enough!!), ate my pre-made udon from the night before, got on my bike and pedaled my way 30mins down to the train station. Oh it was fun!
I got myself one of these nifty little train passes where you just need to place it on the ticket gates and *beep* you're good to go. Of course you have to put money it in first.
The train ride was quite punishing, I always feel weird on Japanese carriages where the seats are facing each other, maybe it's just me. About an hour later I've reached the airport!! On time!! (thanks Meitetsu!! unlike SOME other train companies *ahem* JR *ahem*). There were a bunch of people lining up already (as per occasion). Then there was a massive screen, which they didn't have at the NMB event. But it disappointed me more than reliving me...
I didn't realize at the time, but I actually got there 3 hours earlier in vain... or did I? In that 3 hours I went around the airport and found something called the 'Sky deck'. It is essentially a viewing platform close to the runways and boarding gates. It's bloody spectacular!
It's ten minutes till 12, and the wonderfully combined screams of low pitched males and higher pitched females can only mean one thing, the members have arrived. I was stuck at the back but I could get slight glimpses of the 7 cute Warota members with their healthy shiny hair. But thanks to the big screen, I was still able to see them clearly. The staff put up a little barrier where the members did a little rehearsal on Kanpeki Gu~no ne which got the wota's chanting already. Funny enough, I was able to see Wasamin as the barriers covered mainly the front.
Finally it started! The members introduced themselves - "minna no mesen wo itadaki-Mayuyu" - damn shes cute. I think it was either Lovetan or Mayuyu who pointed out that this was the first time that they held an event at an airport, and damn good place it is for one! Wasamin was worried that she wasn't popular enough but from the fans reaction and TODAY'S ANNOUNCEMENT she is seriously an amazing girl and one of my favs!! Good luck on your solo debut!! I will buy ALL VERSIONS!! Komorin got a little nervous and didn't know what to say so she just said the rice in Nagoya tastes good LOL!
First song, Kibou Sanmyaku! It was still an okay song for me... then, Hetappi Wink! At that moment, I thought, it's still nothing compared to Hetappi, the dance and the song itself is just too good. Then, Wasamin and Komorin left the stage, the rest of the five performed Hashiritai GO GO GO! which got the crowd going even more. Following that, Wasamin and Komorin came back out and performed Kanpeki Gu~no ne! during the bridge when Mayu goes "Shuugou!" then each member goes "Ichi gu~no me" "Ni gu~no me" etc etc. the cameraman failed and didn't even managed to capture one of the members. There was a little talk after that, they taught everyone a few wotagei hand motions for Kibou Sanmyaku before performing it again one last time. And THAT, was when the song really got into me. Sa~ sa~ sa~
Handshake time!! The line went pretty fast. As expected, you're lucky enough to hold each member's hand for over 2 seconds, let alone trying to say something. Everyone was smaller than I expected, as always. The girls looked super cute up-close, especially Mayuyu and Wasamin, their smiles could kill the entire male population of Japan faster than you could say "Watarirouka Hashiritai 7". Nacchan is super kind as usual, and BTW, Ayarin actually look really beautiful in real life. By the way, if you were expecting me to write about how each girl's hand felt like, don't get your hopes up, I'm not that insane, though, one particular person's hand was slightly colder than the rest, care to take a guess? Someone who has her hand (and sweating) talked about in a recent AKBINGO...
Ans: Komorin! *chuckles*
Anddddddddddd that was it, I got on my private 747 and flew back to my uni dorm.

Anyway, back on track (har har, excuse the pun). I headed towards Chubu International Airport! What for? Handshake event of course!!
