Although the title is slightly misleading as it looks somewhat like 'Sweet Sake', it's still relevant in that I'm feeling quite high right now. Just after 2 weeks since I left my beloved hotel at Meitetsu Gifu, I thought of going back there every now and then. However, everyday has been so jam packed that I haven't really been able to leave anywhere 10km away from my uni (except the time when we went to search for Tsutaya). Anyway, today I had the pleasure of heading back to my favourite town in the Touhoku (middle) part of Japan, Sakae.
The reason?
Nagoya Festival!
Ironically, the main events weren't anywhere near Meitetsu Nagoya, instead they were all in Sakae (not that I'm complaining about it). Since I haven't actually exited Nagoya station, I thought I'd do it this time around.

Ok, I've seen enough, lets head back to Sakae! As soon as we were near the exit we could hear taiko drums. Mmm the smell of matsuri!
I just can't get enough of the awesome ferris wheel on the Sunshine Sakae building.
Oh wait, we're here for the matsuri! Ok, now let the photos do most of the talking.
I unexpected a whole lot more people, but then I realised I wasn't in China. Phew.
The parade finished at about 2pm and we were starving so we decided to head up to the 9th floor of this department store, not to mention by stairs, for lunch (because we are totally logical people). I suddenly had a craving for hamburger steak but non of the shops there had them, so we decided to grab Omu-rice (omelette rice).
Hang on, what's this? Hamburger steak with with Omu-rice? YES PLEASE!!
It was quite filling, and it has to be, because I paid good money for it!
After that, we went down stairs and there was a HUGEEEE book-off store and we strolled around for a bit. Luckily, my wallet remained unharmed.
Thinking of heading back, we headed towards the station and got distracted by the Oasis 21 bus terminal.
Yeah, I know I've seen it before, but there were something else there this time...
Hectic-ness
Above was water and... people? I didn't know that before, so I'd had to get up there.
up..
up...
The view was quite spectacular, especially because it was sunset.
Ok, time to go! On the way back to the station, I hear some Idol-sounding music. At first I thought it was SKE48 or something, but I remembered that in the schedule, there wasn't any popular bands/artists performing. I went to check it out anyways.
The temptation to the ears are coming from this way!
OS☆U (I think I've seen that name somewhere before)
Kawaii!
I don't know them but who cares, a free idol-group live is harder to get than winning a lotto these days.
Yeah, I went a little overboard with the photos.
When they finished the performance, I thought, alright, it's time to go home. But on the way out, there was a table with their CD's for sale. Those smart money making bastards. Alright, I'll line up for one. Then... the members came behind the table and started handshaking with people. NO FRIKKEN WAY!! There were also little boards you could buy and the members of your choice can write you a message. I was completely hypnotized. I HAVE to grab myself one.
Members of OS☆U signing and doing handshakes
This was my first time doing something like this and I was pretty darn nervous!
We were allowed to take a photo of the member, but my camera sucked = ="
Overall, I was over the moon by the end of it all.
Thank you Sakae!! I love you!!
Oh, I found out who the member I shook hands with, it was 清里千聖 (Kayosato Chisei) !
Watch out, they might become the next AKB48 or something.
You can check out their Official Site here:
oh and last but not least, my most prized possession...
AW YEAH!!
