Aitakatta!

Today's awesome weather could not have came at a better time. If you're a fan of NMB48, you should know what day it is today, well not necessarily. Anyway, today is the handshake event for NMB48 at Nagoya!! I spent well over 2000yen today on transport alone for this event and it was bloody well worth it!!

Lining up for exchanging handshake ticket begins at 11am. But when I got there at 11, there were already over 6000 people!

Besides the handshake event itself, there is also a mini concert!

The line moved pretty fast and I was surprised to see the amount of female fans which is super-doper!

I was actually the last 'lot' of people, but there could have been more that came after.
People were starting to fill up the different blocks, especially the front ones. I was starting to worry whether I would even get a decent distance from the stage.

Ticket for the handshake event, this is how 'late' I was lol.

But wait, what about my spot for the mini concert?!

I was so darn worried

but somehow...

I got into..

B BLOCK!! FRONT CENTER!!

I'm so damn lucky!!

Waiting for the live to start was quite hellish. It was about a 1.5 hour wait in the sun but I lasted thanks to onigiri (rice balls) and royal milk tea. Before the mini-live, 4 Oji-san from OJS48 came on stage gave a few words, fumbled when saying NMB48 and Akimoto Yasushi (lol'd), and said that they would be helping out with today's event, what nice gentlemen.

Anyway, the mini-live lasted only 40mins. It started with Shirogumi's Kesshou, then introductions, Sayaka did the Nagoya-jo pose which was epic. Unfortunately she had to hold the mic with the other hand so we could only see half of the castle. After that is Akagumi's Hoshokusha tachi yo and member introductions. Miyuki used "Konnichiwatanabe" -- super cute. Kondo Rina never fails to amuse me. Being the airhead she is, she says "今日は寒いですね" (It's cold today isn't it?) when it's actually quite warm. Everyone laughed and replied "暖かい!" (It's warm!). She simply ignores us and finishes with "寒いから、気をつけて" (Please take care, because it's cold today). GOLD!! Following that, the 3rd song is Nandeyanen, Idol and the introduction of the four 2nd gen members that came (I don't know them >_<). The last song is Oh My God!

This is the first time I've seen any of the 48 groups live so I was pretty damn hyped up while watching it. I haven't seen much of NMB's performance but they did an awesome job keeping us entertained today. Miyuki really knew how to move her body and Sayaka is well, Sayaka. I mainly kept my eyes glued on those two and damn, Miruki's hair looks so good!).

After the live was the handshake event. It went past way too fast. Basically, you less than 3 seconds to say everything you want before being pushed away. Obviously, I chose my fav, Miyuki, she was so much tinier than I expected, but adorable as ever. LOVE her smile! I only had enough time to tell her I was from Australia and she was a little confused as if she's never heard of the place before (= ="). Regardless, I was bloody happy to see her in person and handshake with her.

I was tempted yet again by the shops they set up at the event, but I manage to escape with a minor scratch to my wallet...

NMB48 Oh My God! towel!! (that doesn't sound strange AT ALL!)

Afterwards, I spent the time to actually wonder around Nagoya port:

On the way home:

'Twas a magical day indeed!
